This lovely 6' long upholstered bench is a wonderful example of Swedish Gustavian craftsmanship with it's delicately carved details, medallions and finial accents. Please refer to close up photos to understand the old (but later applied) gray painted finish with gold trim adding to its stately presence. The sofa seat, bolsters, back and sides are covered in an original damask fabric which can be re-upholstered with the modern fabric of the buyer's choosing. This gustavian bench has been restored and is in solid condition. Any cracks, nicks, age related separation are commensurate with age and do not impact the function nor beauty of this elegant bench.
