This remarkable large painted canvas is from the mid 18th century, Rococo period. It portrays the rococo idealized image of life in Southern France.  At over 11' wide and just under 7' tall, this canvas is a rare find.

A delightful painting of older gentleman with five puppies and their mother by the well-known Danish artist Knud Edsberg (1911-2003). Edsberg had apprenticeship with Laurits Tuxen. Known for peaceful rural scenes including farm and pastoral scenes.
