The antique white layered painted finish has been gently distressed fitting the age and romantic appeal of this stool. Note slight traces of blue, etc.
The original horsehair filling is lightly held in place by old fabric and ready to be re-upholstered at discretion of buyer. 
Wood frame is restored, strong/stable. Signs of wear including scratches, cracks, dings, and/or age related separation are reflective of age and use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this Swedish stool.
