The strong appeal of this rustic console table comes from the well worn top reflecting generations of use.
It originally served as a work table, resulting in the worn patina with deep gouges, cracks, scrapes, stains, and old gnarls.
A back and side trim were added at a later point, the wood for this rim and the two stretchers are a lighter wood than the top and legs.
It has been restored so it is strong and stable; wax finish.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the appeal nor function of this old work table.
