This remarkable child's bed was crafted in Sweden in the late 1800's. Clearly the family was well to do, due to the elaborate carvings and finials throughout this fine pine bed.
The bed frame is designed to open to a larger size as the child grows, going from 43" deep (exterior) when closed to 78.75" deep when opened. It rests on turned fluted feet.
The interior measurement, where a mattress will lay is: 30.25"wide x 39" deep/long and opens to 73.5" deep/long.
Restored and strong, the waxed finish brings out the warmth in the lovely pine. 
Any scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this remarkable bed.
