The professionally applied (newer) blue (with gray undertones) painted finish is lightly distressed to fit with the character of the pair.
One notices the symmetry and balance of the styling in the upper glass panels and solid panel along the base of each cabinet door. In photos, you will see the three interior (removable) shelves making them ideal for display.
This pair of bookcases have been restored, are sturdy and ready to use. Old locks and keys work, somewhat stiffly.
