The black painted finish is striking in this rococo oak chest of three drawers resting on curved cabriole front feet.
The black painted finish is highly distressed, revealing natural wood below while complimenting the age and serpentine curves of this chest that dates back to the late 1700's.
Each drawer had two brass pulls making them easy to open and use.
Restored and is ready for use. Drawer bottoms and sides were constructed in pine, typical of the craftsmanship of this era.
All scratches, cracks (top and sides), dings, and age related separation (drawer bottoms and back) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this black chest of drawers.
