This original painted pine corner cabinet is an excellent example of Swedish country craftsmanship with traditional folk art paint and design.
Note the deep patina of the natural pine, grown rich over years of use. The original painted finish with antique white, green and shades of teal includes traditional Swedish motifs including diamonds, flowers and a decorative painted crown.
This pine corner cupboard is made in two parts creating an attractive open niche between the upper and lower cabinets; shelf area has a darker finish, interior is painted green. Can dis-assemble for easier transportation and installation.
Both upper and lower cabinet still functions with lock and key.
Professionally restored, this corner cabinet is strong and stable; the doors are working well and the case has been given a wax finish.
All scratches, cracks (seen throughout including bottom door panel), dings, and age related separation (skirt, back etc.) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this original painted corner cupboard. Old repair and dried wormholes seen along back.
