Late 18th Century Black Oak Secretary Bureau from Denmark

This oak rococo secretary reflects the timeless Scandinavian styling from the late 1700's.
The slight serpentine curves of the drawers rest on simple yet becoming carved sides and feet.
The traditional interior with eight small drawers and central “cubbie” offers perfect space to organize.
The three large lower drawers all function with 2 brass pulls each. The drawer bottoms each show age related separation/cracks which is typical of oak chests from this era.
Later professionally custom painted with an exceptional black painted exterior complimented by a soft mottled blue interior, updating the look while adding to the classic styling.
Restored, all drawers function, desktop is solid and ready to be used and enjoyed. A single large key is included to use to lock and open the desktop.
All age-related cracks (top, sides, etc.), scratches, distress, separation of wood and signs of wear are commensurate with age and do not impact the beauty nor function of this striking 200 year old secretary or "bureau."
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed.
