This pine rococo secretary reflects the grace and class of Scandinavian styling from the late 1700's.
The serpentine drawers with carved skirt resting on cabriolet feet all add a romantic touch.
The traditional interior with 12 small drawers and central “cubbie” offers perfect space to organize.
The three large lower drawers all function with 2 brass pulls each. The drawer bottoms each show age related separation/cracks which is typical of chests from this era.
Later professionally custom painted with an exceptional black painted exterior complimented by a soft blue interior (with red undertones; see drawer close up photos), updating the look while adding to the timeless styling.
Fully restored, all drawers function, desk top is solid and ready to be used and enjoyed. A single large key is included to use to lock and open the desk top. Please enlarge photos to appreciate the incredible painted finish distressed perfectly to fit the age of this attractive secretary.
All age-related cracks, scratches (seen throughout), distress, separations and signs of wear are commensurate with age and do not impact the beauty nor function of this striking secretary or "bureau." Old repairs and dried wormholes seen along the back which do not impact function nor stability.
Open Depth: 35"
Floor to Skirt Height:29.5"
