A wonderful example of Swedish country craftsmanship and folk art painting from the Dalarna region of Sweden.
This cupboard is exquisitely painted with panels in blue tones and decorative floral patterns throughout. Of special note is the large step cut crown molding with a date of 1821 inside a floral display, indicating this was likely commissioned as a wedding or dowry present.
Upper cabinet opens using key as pull and secures with inner latch. Lower cabinet door lock and key still function.
