Late 18th Century Oak Secretary Bureau Painted Black, Denmark

This oak rococo secretary reflects the style and functionality of the late 1700's in Sweden.
The traditional interior with 8 unique, small drawers and central “cubbie” (with additional 2 drawers) offers perfect space to organize.
It was later professionally painted with a black painted exterior complimented by a contrasting blue interior, updating the look while accenting the classic lines. It is softly distressed to fit the age and grace of the desk.
A key for both desktop and interior small cabinet are included (2) to use as pulls only (locks do not properly function).
All scratches, cracks(desk front, sides, etc), dings, and age related separation(seen in each drawer bottom) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this secretary. Originally built in two sections, at some point the back was replaced and the 2 sections are now fixed together as one.
