Original teal blue painted dome top trunk from Sweden. Traditional hand-painted details include lovely floral wreaths along front. Monograms of BN/AD and date "1849" indicate this trunk may have been crafted to give as a dowry or wedding present.
Much of paint has been worn down through generations of use to the warm pine below.
Wrought corners, hinges and side handles, lock does not function, no key.
Restored and waxed, this pine trunk is solid/stable and ready to be placed and enjoyed.
Signs of wear typical for age include nicks, scratches(throughout), stains, cracks, age related separation of wood along bottom, etc. This wear does not impact the strength nor functional integrity of the trunk which is ready for use.
