Restored, later professionally painted in layered shades of soft blue with contrasting dusty rose accents all lightly distressed to fit the age and grace of this lovely chest. See top painted in contrasting black with faux marble motif which was an original style element of the era this chest was crafted. 
All scratches (see top), cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this chest of three drawers.
