19th-century pine partner’s desk with a newer black painted finish, gently distressed to reveal natural pine beneath and suit the age and character of the piece.
Designed for use from both sides, the desk features three functional drawers on each side. Interior drawer bottoms show minor staining consistent with use.
On one side, the left two drawers open and lock with the included skeleton key, while the center drawer opens using the key as a pull only, as the lock no longer functions. On the opposite side, keys are included for use as pulls only. The desk stands on tapered legs and offers a center floor-to-skirt clearance of approximately 24½ inches.
Handsome and practical in form, this partner’s desk has been restored, is strong and stable, and is ready to be placed, used, and enjoyed as a writing desk or workspace. Typical age-related signs of wear and use include scratches, cracks (see top), etc.
