Late 18th-century tall French oak cabinet or "Deux corps" with brass hardware and traditional carved panel doors and drawers. The impressive height and canted, slightly curved sides give the piece a stately and elegant presence. Built in two sections for easier transportation and installation.
The upper section features two large arched cabinet doors that open to three removable interior shelves. The center holds two drawers, while the lower cabinet includes two paneled doors with a single interior shelf. Interior surfaces have been painted in a newer dusky blue shade.
Three keys are included, and the old locks on the cabinet doors currently function. Age-related plank separation is visible, especially along the back, and slight gaps in the doors are present but secured by working locks. Restored, strong, and stable, this over 9' tall cabinet offers generous storage and classic French styling suitable for dining rooms, living rooms, libraries, or entry spaces.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this special accent table.
