Early 19th-century German pine two-door armoire ("Shrunk") retaining its hand-painted finish. Front doors feature four paneled sections with floral motif, canted sides, painted in a forest green base accented by deep burgundy detailing. The piece rests on traditional bun feet.
The interior has a newer blue painted finish with three full interior shelves and an additional upper 4th half-shelf for organized storage. The right door is secured by an upper wood peg; no functioning lock or key is present. Interior left door has new upper latch to hold door in place while right door is opened.
Historic use is reflected through its paint history and craftsmanship details, including small holes and cracks/gouges in the door fronts and back that may indicate an earlier repainting. Traditional German design elements and the original decorative palette give this piece strong character and presence.
Restored, strong, and stable, ready for placement and practical use.
