Early 19th Century Baroque Oak Work Table Refectory Table from Denmark

This handsome oak work or refectory table in the Baroque style is from Denmark. The natural oak plank top shows age-related separations, old patches/repair, and stains from long use all adding to its rich, aged character. The base has been given a newer, professionally applied antique white/gray painted finish distressed to fit the age and reveal the oak wood below.
Simple carved skirt and trestle base provide visual balance and durability. Signs of old wormholes, cracks, and wear visible throughout, consistent with age. Restored, strong, and stable, ready for use as a console or serving table.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this 200 year old table.
