This large oak buffet comes from the Black Forest region, world famous for its hand-carved furniture. Enlarge the photos to appreciate the fine detailed carving in the four panel cabinet doors, each portraying curved vines abundant with grape clusters and leaves. The impressive barley twist columns were a traditional style element of the era as well. This sideboard would also serve well as a liquer cabinet, it can not only store bottles and glasses, but the center mirrored section is ideal to display special decanters or fine bottles as well.
