Beyond exceptional, this original painted Swedish cupboard is a tremendous find as it was likely a commissioned piece with both a professional cabinet maker/wood craftsman and professioanl painter hired to complete the work. The original paint with brick red background draws you in to appreciate the abundant and well executed floral motifs in each of the door panels, with added vine details encircling the top and sides. Notice the painted interior doors with the date of 1801 on the left. The rich patina of the natural pine (note photos of the interior and back) reveals its age as well. The beautiful bonnet (a very traditional Swedish style) and drawers are eye-catching,  while curves along the top doors, drawers, and even the footed base add a romantic touch. In every way, this Swedish country cupboard is "a step above"  others seen on the market today.
