Pair of 19th-century Swedish Gustavian chests of three drawers crafted in pine. Each chest features a newer layered gray painted finish with antique white undertones, lightly distressed to reveal natural pine beneath and suit the age of the pieces.
Decorative details include carved dentil molding along the top, canted sides with simple fluted carving, and applied starburst medallions. The chests rest on four tapered, fluted feet, enhancing their refined Gustavian proportions. Each drawer opens with two brass pulls.
Drawer bottoms show typical age-related cracks and staining, while the tops and sides display minor surface wear consistent with years of use. Restored, strong, and stable, this matched pair is ready for use and well suited as bedside chests or accent storage in a variety of interiors.
