Late 18th Century Blue Swedish Rococo Chest of Four Drawers

Late 18th-century Swedish Rococo chest of four drawers with an oak front and pine sides and drawer bottoms, consistent with period craftsmanship. The chest features a newer professionally applied layered painted finish in blue tones with speckled white undertones creating a soft seafoam affect.
The curved Rococo front is accentuated by two large brass pulls on each drawer. There are no keys or functioning locks. The scalloped base rests on carved feet, enhancing the decorative profile. Drawer bottoms show old repairs addressing typical separation and cracks found in chests of this age.
Age-related cracks are visible along the top and sides. Nicks and dings are also expected in a chest of this age and use. Restored, strong, and stable, this chest is ready for use and represents a refined example of Swedish Rococo form with vivid color and presence.
