19th-century large Swedish pine bookcase cabinet featuring classic architectural detailing. The crown is finished with carved dentil molding and applied decorative medallions. The upper section has four glass-pane doors, ideal for display, while the lower section features four paneled cabinet doors with traditional Swedish fluted detailing.
The cabinet has a newer, professionally applied light gray painted finish with white undertones; depending on lighting, it may read as white with gray undertones. The interior is painted a contrasting blue-gray tone. Upper cabinet doors retain old locks and function with a skeleton key, though they operate stiffly. Lower cabinet doors function best using the key as a pull only (One key for upper, one key for lower cabinets included). The center lower cabinet includes interior drawers in addition to a central shelf.
Typical age-related cracks, nicks, and dings are present throughout, including along the sides. Restored strong, stable, and ready for use.
