Early 20th-century Swedish oak vitrine or display cabinet featuring romantic applied carving throughout, including ribbons, flowers, garlands, and additional decorative details. Glass doors with canted sides provide excellent visibility for display. The lower section features a curvaceous Bombay-form base with two large drawers and rests on prominent claw-and-ball front feet. A newer professionally applied black painted finish dramatically highlights the carved details, while the interior is painted a contrasting layered white-gray tone. Typical age-related cracks, gouges, and scratches are visible, particularly along the sides and drawers. The large drawers open using a key as a pull only, while the upper cabinet secures with lock and key. Restored strong, stable, and ready for use.
