Late 19th-century French large bleached oak display cabinet featuring extensive carved decoration throughout, including floral medallions, lion heads, claw motifs, and additional ornamental detailing. The cabinet is built in two sections for easier transportation and installation. The upper section has four glass-pane doors with adjustable shelving for display. Below are four curved drawers, followed by a lower section with large, heavily paneled cabinet doors. The cabinet rests on five bun feet in front and four block feet in back, giving it a strong architectural presence. Locks and keys no longer function; keys are included and used as pulls only. Typical scratches, nicks, separations reflect generations of use and do not detract from the timeless appeal of this grand display cabinet.
Restored strong, stable, and ready for use, at over 10' long and almost 10' tall, cabinet makes an exceptional display piece for a dining room, library, or grand interior.
