19th-century Swedish pine apothecary counter of impressive scale, featuring fifty-one drawers in varying sizes. Constructed with traditional dovetail joinery throughout, this substantial counter measures over ten feet in length, making it an unusually large and rare example. The pine top is built in two sections and shows stains, gouges, scratches, and evidence of old dried wormhole activity, all contributing to the warm, deeply aged patina. Some old knots in the wood have fallen out, creating small holes consistent with age and use. All drawers function smoothly. Restored strong, stable, and ready for use. Old repairs seen along back.
