19th-century Swedish pine drop-leaf gate leg table with a versatile, functional design. The gate leg base allows the legs to adjust as the leaves are raised or lowered. A single drawer is present on each end. The pine top shows a rich aged patina with visible cracks, stains, nicks, and old repairs. The base was painted black at some point in time and now shows significant wear and fading, contributing to the table’s character. With both leaves down, the table serves well as a 25.5" deep console ; fully opened, it functions comfortably as a kitchen or dining table just under 6' long. Restored strong, stable, and ready to use.
