Early 19th Century Danish Pine Large Chest of Five Drawers with Original Painted Finish

Early 19th century Danish chest of five drawers crafted in pine. The chest retains its original painted finish in tones of brown with brick red undertones. The faux wood stylized painting was the traditional style from the era. Burnished gold flourishes decorate the upper drawer (including animals) and accent corners of the lower four drawers. Upper carved edging is painted in contrasting black, while the turned columns flanking the upper drawers are painted in a faux marble relief also in black.
The large chest is built in three sections and rests on a lower frame with turned feet and decorative carved scalloped skirt
Each of the four larger drawers is fitted with two brass ring pulls, while the upper slender drawer opens using a key as pull only. (The original locks are no longer present)
The top reveals signs of old dried wormhole activity (non-active); additional wear seen throughout includes minor age-related nicks, wear, cracks, etc.
The chest has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready to use. A strong example of Scandinavian country craftsmanship retaining its original surface.
