20th-century French mahogany sideboard featuring a three-drawer over three-door configuration and the original marble top. The warm mahogany veneer displays attractive grain throughout, accented by fluted carved details along the canted sides and between the cabinet doors. Simple diamond detailing surrounds the keyholes, and the sideboard rests on six turned feet, giving the piece a balanced and elegant profile.
The original marble top presents tones of gray, black, and white. Scratches are visible across the surface, though the natural matrix of the marble helps visually soften signs of age. The case shows age-related separation along the sides, with very old dried wormhole activity that has been repaired. Minor cracks and additional wormhole evidence are visible along the front panel doors, consistent with age and use. The back reveals typical age-related plank separation and old repairs.
Interior storage is divided with the left cabinet door opening to a smaller compartment, while the center and right doors open together to create a larger storage area. Original locks remain present; while some function, keys are best used as pulls for ease of use. Four keys are included.
This sideboard has been restored, is strong and stable, and is ready for placement and use.
