19th century Danish pine apothecary sideboard with twelve drawers. Constructed of pine with its original painted finish, now highly distressed, revealing the pine beneath. To the naked eye, the surface reads as brown with subtle reddish undertones. Designed as a freestanding counter, the form allows for versatile placement and could function well as a kitchen island. The top two center drawers feature divided interiors. The top shows evidence of extensive use, including gouges, scratches, cracks, and heavy surface wear, with similar distress visible across the drawer fronts. Age-related plank separation is present along the sides. The back reveals old repairs and signs of historic wormhole activity. The piece has been restored, is structurally strong, stable, and ready for use.
