Early 20th-Century Hungarian Black Painted Display Cabinet Bookcase

Early 20th-century Hungarian black painted display cabinet crafted in pine. The exterior features a newer black painted finish that has been lightly distressed to reveal the natural wood beneath, fitting the age and character of the bookcase. Fluted carved vertical columns frame the cabinet, with additional carved detailing along the crown adding architectural interest.
Two arched glass display doors open to reveal interior shelving suitable for books or decorative objects. Below is one long drawer fitted with two brass pulls, providing additional storage. The original lock and key remain present and function stiffly; buyer may prefer to use the key as a pull only.
The interior shelves show typical age-related wear including minor cracks, separation, and staining consistent with years of use. Old dried wormhole activity is visible along the back, shelving, and drawer bottom, all inactive and not affecting structure.
This cabinet has been restored, is strong, stable, and ready for use, offering a handsome and practical display piece with authentic European character.
