19th-century small rustic cabinet from Hungary crafted in pine. Residual original paint remains visible along the base, with traces of green paint still present on the upper panel doors. The aged pine surface reveals a deep, warm patina developed through generations of use. Hand-wrought iron hinges and corner hardware further enhance its authentic country character. The upper cabinet doors open to reveal one full shelf and an upper half shelf. A unique center storage section lifts upward, providing additional concealed storage. The lower cabinet door opens to reveal one full shelf and an upper half shelf as well. The cabinet secures with a simple exterior wooden latch and has no key or lock. Age-related separation is visible along the shelves, bottom, and back, consistent with pine construction of this period. Typical scratches, cracks, gouges, old repairs, and scattered signs of dried wormhole activity are present but do not impact structural integrity. The cabinet has been restored, is strong, stable, and finished with wax. The natural distress and layered surfaces contribute to its rustic charm and authenticity.
