Early 20th-Century Hungarian Walnut Coffee Table with Peg Legs

Early 20th-century walnut coffee table from Hungary featuring a dark finish and square peg legs that splay slightly outward. The strong, grounded form reflects its utilitarian origins, as the table was likely used as a work table earlier in its life.

The top is constructed of two wide planks and shows typical age-related separation, along with scratches, scuffs, gouges, and cracks consistent with years of use. The squared peg legs add a rustic, architectural presence and contribute to its sturdy stance. The table has been restored, is strong, stable, and ready for use.
