It is the incredible hand-wrought iron details that make this flat-top trunk an exceptional find. Note the iron hinges, corners, straps and heavy side handles. 
The age of this trunk is revealed in the deep, dark patina of the aged pine. The heavy chest rests on four large bun feet. Typical age related cracks, gouges, and distress are seen throughout commensurate with generations of use. Dried old wormhole activity is present throughout, in particular the interior bottom and back, but does not impact the strength or integrity of the trunk itself. 
Professionally restored and waxed, this trunk is ready to be placed and enjoyed. There is no lock nor key remaining.
