The appeal of this rustic coffee table comes from the thick wood top that originally served as a worktable. The slightly splayed peg legs were a traditional element in this type of table.
Note the scratches, nicks, gouges, small holes and even dried old wormholes that all combine to build the depth of character. There are a couple of cut out areas around the edge, likely where some tool was once attached. 
This coffee table has been restored so it is strong, stable and ready to use and enjoy.
