This festive 7' long hanging rack or shelf is a wonderful example of the folk art found in Eastern Europe during the 1800's. The original dark blue painted background has traditional contrasting red trim and floral accents.
The "shelf space" is aproximately 4.75" high, perfect for display of a smaller collection. The upper plate rack could also be used to display frames, photos, books and more.
Note the difference between the left corner and right corner; this shelf was longer at some point and cut down on the right side.
Restored, strong, stable and ready for use. Wax finish. The holes in the back were where the original owner hung this on the wall.
Age related wear/distress is seen in multiple areas where the paint has been worn down to the natural pine below. There are two holes in the back where original owner hung the rack.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this fun hanging rack.
