Early 19th century Dutch cabinet featuring elaborate marquetry inlay. The decoration includes flowers, vines, birds, vases, and scrolling leaves, all intricately worked across the surface.
The lower section features a curvaceous Bombay-style form with three drawers. The upper cabinet includes glass panes with canted glass sides designed to display any collection within.
The interior contains two full shelves and one upper half shelf, each with curved scalloped edges. The interior has a newer painted finish in a soft mint green tone.
The cabinet rests on carved ball and claw feet raised on blocks. Drawers operate using two brass pulls each, and the upper cabinet secures with a simple turning latch.
The cabinet has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready for use. Nicks, scratches, cracks, and small older veneer repairs are visible.
