19th century Swedish Rococo chest of three drawers crafted in both pine and oak, a traditional combination for this type of cabinetmaking.
The chest features a newer professionally applied layered painted finish in pale blue with the top finished in contrasting antique white. The surface has been lightly distressed, revealing areas of the natural wood beneath and creating an aged character reflective of the period.
Each drawer is fitted with two large brass pulls for easy opening. A scalloped and carved skirt adds a romantic Rococo accent to the form, while carved side panels further enhance the decorative detailing.
The back reveals evidence of old dried wormholes that do not impact the current function or strength of the piece.
The chest has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready for use.
