19th century pine chest of three drawers retaining its original painted decoration and dated 1873. Crafted in pine, the chest features three large drawers.
Each drawer is decorated with original blue painted panels embellished with traditional floral motifs. The top drawer includes a painted name and the date 1873.
Simple wrought iron side handles are present, allowing for easier movement. The pine surface shows a deep worn patina developed through years of use.
The top reveals old cracks, gouges, scrapes, and stains consistent with age and use. Additional cracking and separation are visible along the sides.  Signs of residual wormholes are also present (dried/non-active).
The chest has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready for use. Visible wear and distress contribute to the authentic character of the piece.
