Early 19th century Swedish rococo bench settee crafted in pine. Graceful curves accent the arms, feet, and back, giving the bench an elegant and romantic profile.
The painted finish has been scraped to reveal a warm patina, with residual tones of gray and pale blue still visible, with much of the natural pine now revealed. Hand carving decorates both the upper seat rail and the lower skirt. Typical age-related scratches, nicks, minor separation reflective of generations of use.
Flowing curves along the front, back, and sides contribute to the classic rococo character. The seat is upholstered in vintage rich brown leather.
The leather shows staining, impressions, and scratches typical of age and use. The bench has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready for use.
