Early 19th Century Danish Pine Tall Chest of Six Drawers

Early 19th century tall chest crafted in pine and fitted with six drawers. Decorative carving accents the top two drawers and the lower skirt, while carved dentil molding runs along the crown.
The original painted surface has been gently scraped and presents a distinctive soft tangerine tone with heavy distress revealing areas of natural pine beneath. Half column details and feet are finished in contrasting black.
The top shows older cracks, nicks, stains, and repairs related to separation of the planks. Similar age-related separation is visible in the drawer bottoms and along the back.
Original wrought iron side handles allow easier movement of the cabinet. Each of the six drawers opens with brass pulls. Nicks and scratches throughout reflect generations of use and contribute to the vintage character.
The chest has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready for use.
