Pair 19th Century Swedish Gustavian Black Painted Carved Armchairs

Pair of 19th century Swedish Gustavian armchairs crafted in pine. The chairs feature carved egg and dart detailing along the arms, back, and skirt.
They are raised on decorative turned legs, with carved detailing throughout the frames.
The black painted finish has been distressed and scraped, revealing natural wood beneath and enhancing the aged character.
The seats retain old batting with stained muslin tacked in place, ready for reupholstery by the buyer.
The frames have been restored and are strong, stable, and ready for use. Typical age-related cracks, minor separations, dings/nicks are present and consistent with use.
