Pair 19th Century Swedish Gustavian Black Painted Armchairs

Pair of 19th century Swedish Gustavian armchairs crafted in pine. The chairs feature carved fluted detailing throughout, including the back, arms, and turned fluted legs.
The black painted finish has been heavily scraped and worn, revealing natural wood beneath all adding to the soft aged character of the chairs.
The seats are newly upholstered in simple linen. Exposed nail heads accent the upholstery and complement the painted frames.
Typical age-related cracks and nicks are visible and consistent with use. The frames have been restored and are strong, stable, and ready for use.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed.
