Early 19th century Swedish country cabinet crafted in pine. The cabinet retains its original painted panels featuring a light blue background with red floral decoration.
The pine surface shows a warm aged patina developed through years of use. Along the inner right door, faint red painted markings include a date of 1789.
Locks no longer function, though a skeleton key is included and may be used as a pull. An interior latch system helps secure the doors.
The upper interior opens to reveal standard shelving along with an upper half shelf with notches originally used to display family silver spoons.
Age-related wear (refer to photos) including cracks, nicks, dings, minor losses (see lower right door) and signs of old wormhole activity are visible throughout and contribute to the character.
Built in two sections for easier transportation and installation. The cabinet has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready to use.
