Late 19th century Gustavian style tray top side table crafted in oak. The table retains its original gray paint with white beneath, heavily distressed along the top and revealing areas of natural wood.
Fluted carved detailing appears throughout, including along the skirt and tapered, fluted legs. Gold-toned highlights accent the carved fluting.
A distinctive trestle base forms a lower shelf-like support. The table includes a removable painted metal tray insert with side handles. The tray retains original orange-red paint with gold decorative trim and shows significant distress consistent with its age.
Typical age-related scratches and cracks are present, along with minor nicks to the table top edge, though none impact function.
The table has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready to use.
