19th century Hungarian flat top trunk crafted in pine. This trunk retains its original hand painted finish in traditional Eastern European folk art style.
The surface features vibrant floral motifs in red, green, blue, and white, arranged across painted panels.
Age-related wear is visible throughout, including nicks, dings, scratches, and cracks. Signs of dried, inactive wormhole activity are present, primarily along the back and around the trim.
The trunk has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready for use. A wax finish has been applied to both the interior and exterior.
The original lock and key are present; however, it is recommended the trunk remain unlocked, with the key used decoratively.
