19th century Swedish carved Gustavian bench or settee, crafted in dark pine. Beautiful carved details are the highlight of this deep seated bench, including egg and dart carving along the back rail and skirt. Intricately turned, carved, and fluted spindles surround the sides and back, while turned carved feet complete the form below. The bench offers a beautiful presentation with old world class, and the seat is newly upholstered in simple white linen.
Restored, strong, stable, and ready for use. Scratches, scuffs, and minor distress are seen to the wood, all typical for generations of use. Old repairs are seen in the rear legs.
