Early 19th century French single door armoire cabinet, crafted in walnut. Heavy carving adorns the three panels of the single door, and the same carved panels continue along the sides. One lower drawer with an iron pull adds additional function, while very large front bun feet give the piece a strong grounded presence. Original long French hinges work well; the original lock and key function very stiffly. The door opens to reveal interior shelves, all of which show age related separation. Separation of planks is also seen along the back and top.
Restored, strong, stable, and ready for use. Nicks, scratches, and dings reflect years of use, and old repairs and touchups are seen in multiple places, including the sides and back. Residual evidence of dried wormhole activity is present, though dry and no longer active.
