18th-century chestnut console table with deep, dark patina developed over 200 years of use. The table features carved drawer fronts, turned legs, and a trestle-style base.
The carving continues around the skirt, making this table free-standing.
The top reflects centuries of wear through old repaired cracks, gouges, gnarls, stains, minimal bowing and historic surface activity. Edges and legs show much distress with nicks, abrassions, cracks etc. Signs of old dried wormholes (No longer active) consistent with early European furniture are visible.
Restored, strong, and stable, offering the presence and character of true 18th-century craftsmanship.
