19th century Swedish side table, crafted in pine and retaining its original painted finish. The table has simple lines with long tapered legs, giving it a simple Swedish country look. The original gray painted finish is heavily distressed and has softened in areas to resemble antique white, while traces of blue remain visible in areas, especially along the edge of the top. The top is especially distressed from wear, revealing much of the natural pine below along with knots and old staining that add to the aged character of the piece. The table is solid, stable, and ready to use. Nicks, scratches, stains, and old cracks (see photos) reflect generations of use.
